Chelena has been with the UTCDC for 7 years and has 30+ years of experience in early childhood education, having previously working at Manchaca United Methodist Church Preschool and for AISD as a middle school ESL program director. Although she has experience teaching all ages, her passion is working with three and four-year-olds.
Celena has 2 beautiful daughters. Amber is her oldest who teaches 4/5th grade math. Natalie is her youngest daughter and is a passionate pharmacy technician. Celena and her family enjoy camping and vacationing together. Her other interests/hobbies are doing crossword puzzles, baking. gardening and fishing. She enjoys watching football and baseball. Her favorite NFL team is the Dallas Cowboys and her favorite college team is, of course, the Longhorns.
