Meissa was born and raised in a small town called Keur Momar Sarr in Senegal, West Africa. When he turned 17, he came to the United States to live with his adopted family and begin his life as an American. He describes himself as respectful, hardworking and determined. In May, he moved from Pennsylvania to Austin to join the UTCDC. He graduated from Penn State with a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology and found his passion for working with children. He has 5 years of experience working with children and is excited to join the Astronauts! He enjoys working here because teamwork is the foundation of everything we do.
When he's not at work, don't be surprised if you see him playing soccer (or any sports), exploring Austin, spending time with his family, particularly his 11-year-old brother.
