Favorite Children’s Book: Anne of Green Gables series by L.M. Montgomery

Vanesa joined UTCDC as a floater in 2016 and was quickly promoted to a lead teacher in March of 2017.  She came to us with 18 years of experience having worked with children of all ages. Vanesa attended Huston Tillotson and majored in Biochemistry.  However, she found her calling when she began working with children and even gained a certification as a breast feeding specialist.

Vanesa was born and raised in Austin.  She loves spending time with her daughter Leiilah and her dog Gigi!  In her spare time she is a football fan (college and pro), a DIY enthusiast, likes to read, sing and travel. She is the youngest of 8 children, has 24 nieces and nephews and 8 great nieces and nephews.  Children are a big part of her life!
