Introduction

The University of Texas at Austin established the child development programs as a service for its employees and students in 1991. Our mission is to assist families with their child care needs, thus supporting the quality of employees’ work and enhancing student families’ experiences at the university. Parents must be employed by The University of Texas at Austin and appointed to 30 hours or more with benefits to be eligible to use the center. Students must be enrolled in six graduate school credit hours or 12 undergraduate hours per semester in order to be eligible. In addition to the two campus program, in fall 2015 a third location for both university and state employees was established.
