Favorite Children’s Book: Tacky the Penguin  by Helen Lester

Hello! My name is Erica Denson and I am the Threes Lead Teacher in the Butterfly room. I have been at the CDC since March of 2020 and have enjoyed every minute of it. Before teaching for The UT CDC I taught Pre-K in Cedar Park for 3 years. Before teaching I was a Director of Education for Sylvan Learning Center where I got to work with children of all ages and built programs to meet their needs.

I have my BS in Education from Texas State University, and am a certified teacher from early childhood to 6th grade, but preschool is where my heart is! Some of The Butterflies favorite activities are sensory play, and messy art projects as well as story time and felt board activities! 

In my spare time, you will find me lounging with my Husband Joel, our daughter Lena and our dog Linda. I enjoy reading, cooking, and going for walks with my family!
