Arelis moved to Austin in 2018 from Quebradillas, Puerto Rico. She joined the UTCDC family in June 2022. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and a Doctorate in Health Sciences. In 2021, she was drawn to the early childhood education field and fell in love with it. She became passionate about working with young children and supporting their families. Her goal is to make a positive and meaningful difference in the lives of as many children as she can.

Arelis loves spending time with her husband, discovering new places to eat, and road-tripping around Texas. She enjoys traveling, gardening, volunteering, and cooking.
