Favorite Children’s Book: Because A Little Bug Went Ka-Choo!
Ashley grew up in Northern California where the ocean meets the Redwoods. She graduated from Humboldt State University in 2007 with her Bachelors in Child Development/Elementary Education. It was during her time at the university that she discovered her passion for working with children, and playing a role in their development during the influential early years. After graduation, she moved to Austin and continued working in various child care centers throughout the Austin area, with her passion being the 4-5 year olds. Throughout the years in the classroom, Ashley has worked her way to various administrative positions, which has brought her to the UTCDC. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time camping, hiking, reading and crafting with her husband, Andrew, two children, Solstice and Addison and dog Potter.
